Fuel consumption

I'm very curious to know the fuel consumption of your A's.
City or country roads, or mixed ?
Type of A ?
(Over here we calculate in Liters per 100 km, but any numbers will do - I'm very smart with my phone)

I own two car. The 29 pheaton get 17 - 18 mpg and the 29 Briggs four door gets 20 mpg the interesting thing to me is that the four door has a 6:1 high comp head and does a little better with it.?

on my A --with worn original cam --not over 15mpg, couldn't go over 52mph, with nos "B" cam not under 20mpg, top speed over 65

3.6 rs,
Keep in mind that these gents are talking US gallons, which are less than Imperial gallons.
Google is your friend.

Nothing strange about that, you can probably pull top gear for longer and make fewer gear changes.

I get an average of about 26-27 mpg (10.6 l/100km) out of my '29 Phaeton which is in line with others. The best I have done is 30.4 mpg (9.29 l/100km). These figures are country cruising at about 42-45 mph. I have found that having an overdrive versus standard gearing makes virtually no difference but that is no surprise.
We used to use imperial gallons before we converted to the metric system about 40-50 years ago so it's litres per 100 km now.

My Roadster gets 20 on the nose, but my Cabriolet only gets around 16-17. Both have stock engines and transmissions.

I use mine as a daily driver, and put about 2,000 miles a year on her. Nothing modified...head, carb, ignition, no overdrive.... Oh, and I can't get anything but gas alcohol mix around here.

I track my mileage pretty carefully and get about 12 mpg (or 19 L/100km)

I was given this mirror over 40 years ago, long before I thought about buying a Model A Ford!
According to the claim that is almost 30 miles per imperial gallon.
The text says, 'Moins de 10 litres per 100 kilometres

That sounds about right. 10 litres per 100 Km is 28.25 miles per (proper) gallon. I get around that figure - so do others in our club while cruising - not around town.
