Frozen rear brakes on a 64 Mustang

For some dumb reason I left the hand brakes set on our 64 1/2 Mustang when we parked it in the garage on jacks. this is about 3 years ago. The emerg cable seams to have released as I can pull the cables from under the car and hear the emerg. mech move. There is somedripping fromone drum so I'm betting the wheel cylinders need attention as well. I'm hearing that it is ok to apply power and try and break the drums loose. This is an auto ******. I've removed one wheel and tried a BFH application. No luck. Suggestions, Please.

if you are going to use the engine ****** to try and break it loose you need one wheel firmly on the ground and all wheels chocked, do it out side away from every thing, start easy going from drive to reverse as fast as you can, you want to rock the drum back and forth, dont get to rough, dont want to break trans, drive line, u joints, differential or axle. but all of those componets are pretty tough so you should be ok

Use a large screwdriver or a brake tool and adjust the rear shoe adjustment in as far as it will go so that the shoes will have some room to release.Try the bfh after that again.

Clem, you are one lucky Dude. I have seen these stuck so bad they had to be taken apart with a cutting torch.
