Front spring help needed

I have have. the original axle under my '30 Model A that is fairly straight. I bought an axle that I thought was a Model A with some drop. My axle is about 50 inches kingpin to kingpin and 36 inches spring eye to eye. The new (old) axle is about 50 1/2 Kingpin to kingpin and 41 inches spring eye to eye.

I guess it's not a Model A but will probably work. anybody got an idea what I have? gotta get a longer spring for sure.

Charlie, A little more research shows I probably have a 46 Ford front axle. The wishbone mounts are the same at 2 1/4. I looks like all I will need is a longer spring. Thanks for the info.

You would be better of using a 32-36 front axle. It will give you a slight drop. You can get another inch drop by using a reverse eye main leaf spring. The HAMB goes into great detail on how to do this. Some guys are even using the mech. brakes with this set up. Just an idea. Charlie Stephens is spot on.
