Front Parking Lights

My front parking lights don,t work. When I turn the light switch to Parking lights, the tail lights come on but not the parking light bulbs in the head light bucket. The bulbs check out O.K. I don,t seem to be getting voltage to the lamps. The headlights work fine on low and high beam.
Help.

I've had poor ground issues before with my lights which caused the bulbs to burn out prematurely or sometimes the bulb socket wasn't grounding so you wouldn't get current to the bulb.
My mechanic also hardwired the wiring harness to the headlights because the but connectors would sometimes not make contact where the wire meets with the headlamps. It was an aftermarket harness so I think that may be part of the reason the wire connections would sometimes jostle loose if the car went over bumps.

I'd start by looking at the sockets on the bottom of the headlights. Repro's are especially bad for having slop and poor contacts.

Do you have the right wiring harness, with three wires going into the headlight? I just went through this, and that was my problem. I had to replace the wiring harness.

Problem solved. Left light, bad bulb. Also defective volt meter. Right light, bad connection in light socket.
