Front Mounted Tool Box

I have a 1930 Town Sedan. I would like to mount a tool box on the front between the fenders. Is there anyone who makes them? I heard that Jim Huseby in Missouri makes them but don't know how to get a hold of him. Is there someone who has one that would fit my 1930 I could puchase?

Any help is appreciated.

I have a front tool box like this one on my '30 Town Sedan. They used to be sold by Mile's. They were made by a member of Ford Barn, very well made. I believe the same person also made custom Speedsters. I heard that someone was going to reproduce them. Maybe someone has info? IMO they look worlds better than hanging a box out front.

Try Tom Nelson in California. He has them listed in parts for sale in the Restorer. They are very nice, and his number is (559)-240-8192.

As far as I know the larger rectangular ones that were available through the vendors are no longer being made - another victim of Covid. I saw one advertised by one of the vendors but when I called their supplier was not able to fulfill. I had the good fortune to pick up one lightly used about a year or so ago. They are a fairly straightforward design, I think a good sheet metal shop could reproduce them easily.

Guten Abend miteinander.

A good, old and pleasant person here in the barn built me this oval-round front tool box and shipped it to Germany.

Maybe he'll read along and get back to you?

I made my own years ago. Bringing something like that from the US would cost as much as the car - nearly! I think any sheet metal fabricator should be able in his sleep.
