front mount

Hi, so with all you guys and gals help, I got the rear float a motor mounts out and aligned the engine left and right correctly. Now beyond removing/loosening the rear mount bolts in the correct mounts, what else has to be loosened or removed to jack the engine high enough to get the front float a motor bracket out with the radiator and crank pulley installed? Do I have to unbolt the wishbone or trans mount? Thanks!

It is much easier with the radiator out. You don't have to remove the pulley. The two large bolts that attach the mount to the front of the engine should be removed first. Then the rest of it follows without much fuss. Consult Model A Mechanics Handbook, Vol I for instructions on how to mount the stock front engine mount. Use a floor jack with a piece of wood atop to lift the front of the engine just enough to take the strain off. The engine is balanced on the rear mounts so you do not have to lift very much in the front. You do not have to unbolt the transmission or wishbone.

Remove one of the rear motor mount bolts on each side and loosen the remaining two to form a pivot point.
Watch the clearance between the firewall and the rear of the engine to make sure it doesn't touch as you lift the front of the motor. You may need to remove the throttle bracket.
