Front Leaf Spring

The best lubricant that I've found for leaf springs is slip-plate (graphite paint).
After I cold-rearched both front and rear springs, I coated the contact surfaces with Slip-Plate. It's advertised as a coating for things like snowplow blades, etc. Boy is that stuff slippery, as I found out when I knocked the can over and spilled about a half quart onto the shop floor... I haven't yet installed the springs into the (rebuilding) car but I'm anticipating quite an improvement in ride. Especially with the rebuilt shocks.

Posies Hot Rod’s will custom make you any spring you want. The make stock type springs as well as “Hot Rod” springs

They don't look correct, though. You'd have to clip all the ends yourself. The Eaton springs have the wrong spring count, but at least they look right to the casual observer.
