Front hub Assembly question

I am replacing the spokes on a front wheel. I have all the bolts removed from the hubs and am ready to separate the flange from the main hub. I did some prying and a few hammer whacks, but then had second thoughts when nothing budged, so I stopped. The flange does come off the back of the hub, right? It's not pressed on? Anything else I should know before I proceed with the prying and whacking? I have been known to completely wreck a part for overlooking a simple procedure.

The outside flange is a separate piece. Use penetrating between it and the hub. Then using a blunt ended punch through the bolt holes tap the outer flange off the hub. What are your plans for re-spoking the wheel?

Some picture may help.

Cripety sakes, I was trying to remove a flange that doesn't remove. I see now how it comes apart. Thanks too, for the punch idea. Less barbaric than the chisel I had in mind.
My spokes look like the ones in the picture, so they have to go. I'll be determining which wheel I have and ordering new spokes from Langs. I intend to build the press that was demonstrated in a youtube video linked from this site.

Greg - a word of caution. New spokes do not always fit. Last year I had a set from a reputable supplier that found each spoke 3/16 " too long. Another set I received from a AAA vender was too wide at the arrow head end. Neither set was usable as I received them. I modified the second set and returned the first. If you screw up a modification you buy some pretty expensive firewood.

I would get the spokes from Noah Stutzman and use the money saved to buy other parts from Lang's.
