Front fender questions (car to pickup)

I just discovered that my barn find 40 pickup which was in boxes etc. has a set of car front fenders. The rears are ok the hood is ok but front fenders are from a car. My question is this -- can I mount the car front fenders on my pickup? I know there some differences but can it be done? I do not want to go to fiberglass with my restoration. Thanks Rich

The car fenders are basically the same. It's where they meet the body is the difference. The lip on the car fender angles out slightly and the pickup fender lip is flat(90 degrees on the lip). A little hammer work will solve the problem and you have to relocate a couple of the mounting holes where they attach to the body. Everything else is the same. if you got decent rear fenders with this project you are very lucky.

Go to Bob Drakes catalog & they have an Ilistration giving dimensions and the diffences in the shape of the mounting points at the cowl for a Pickup & Car, also the Pickup has a unique small bracket at the cowl that bolts to the fender, also available from Drake
