Front Engine Mounts removal 36

Hi While I have my Grille / radiator out , on my 36, ready for new water pumps I thought I would put new front engine mounts in. Is it possible to jack the motor up enough to renew these and if so are there any tricks to do this safely.

Also are the bottom water outlets/ engine mount brackets readily available ? mine have been repaired over the years and could do with replacing.

Thanks in advance

Jacking can be done at the pan, with some padding. I use a (now antique!) fat telephone directory which provides flexible padding to fit the curves.
You don't need to jack very high at all...the bolt can be dropped out the bottom, and then all the washers and the rubber pads can slide in there sideways with very little clearance needed.
The outlets are a flea market/classified ads hunt!

You may also want to consider loosening the two rear transmission mounting bolts and possibly the steady rod bolts where they connect to frame. This may prevent breaking or bending of these parts. Also, sometimes the lower rubber part of the front motor mount can be stuck in place under the front cross member. I have had to use force to get some of these off in the past.

I ran across a pair of water inlets from a '35 that were in good shape (almost new) but the wouldn't fit my '36.The bolt pattern was the same but the angle of the neck was off about 10 or 15 degrees and would make a kink in the hose.Enough that it would restrict the flow.I believe the inlets were actual 35 and 36.If you're lucky enough to find a good pair,be sure they're the same as your originals.
