After your initial inspection and hopefully recruiting a local advisor, change, or tighten, or replace, or adjust one thing at a time and then test drive before you attempt the next problem. The whole soup to nuts suspension r and r is alot to attempt solo. And can lead to discouraging you when the job becomes overwelming. I speak from experience here.
Slow and systematic will always win out over fast, or worse, half fast approaches.
