Front door check assembly 31 s/w

Is this the way the front door stop goes together ? I dont remember the round rubber ball on the shaft. It has a rubber pad on the hinge post so the rubber ball hits the rubber pad on the full open door positions ? The rubber ball in the catalog says for the original style door stop . Looks like the rubber ball is made to stop against a solid post, not a rubber pad.

What you have is correct.

That is what I took off my car and that is what I put back on.
