I am in the process of fixing up my 1928 Tudor and replacing a few parts . When I removed the radiator I found that the cross member has a slotted hole
in the center . I was thinking on filling hole with a mig weld and making a new hole .
Would that work or just center the spring and tighten it up ? Even though it was slotted , it was found tight and centered to begin with .
