Marty, I am in Palmer. have a 51 Merc. all stock, except exh. and a few minor mods. also have 29 roadster project that I keep at my brothers place in anch. haven't touched it in almost 5 years. going to try and get back on it this next spring.

Just checked the Early Ford V8 Club roster of members. Unfortunately, there is no regional club group in Alaska but there are 4 members you could touch base with:

Dennis Allen in Anchorage 907-345-6355
David Johnson in Delta Jct 907-895-3252
Cameron Peterman in Healy 907-683-2370
Roger Reitano in Tok 907-883-2092

That's a great club to join if you haven't already. They have a great forum as well with a lot of very knowledgable people. Check it out here: http://www.earlyfordv8.org/index.cfm

P.S. I've had my '47 since I was 7 (my dad thought it was his). Give me a holler with any questions.

Hi Marty, and welcome!

Try getting in touch with the "Antique Auto Mushers of Alaska". It's an AACA affiliate, and has a pretty good presence in Alaska.

Lots of swell guys (& gals)!

Hey Marty,
Welcome to the best most valuable site for flathead fans!
Mabe no 'formal' group/club up there, but lots of old cars..I can attest!
About six years ago, I spent two months camping and taking fish from this most beautiful state in the USA:) ! While in one campground, dozens of old car owners drove into the camp and parked to mingle and show off their proud possesions! Fords, for sure, but lots of other beauties too! I often wonder where they hide those vehicles to keep them , from harsh weather/salted roads,etc...in such good condition. So, look around as your neighbor may be a fellow hobbyist.
BTW- Watch out for moose on the roads...as they can be car killers:eek:

Greetings from North Pole Marty! I have a 47 Coupe and a 31/32 project I am working on. Maybe I can stop by your way on a trip south sometime, always look forward to meeting other old car guys.
