What the heck is this you say? This is a tool used to ceritify the condition of your braking system. The device is sat in the floorboard on the passenger side, secured, leveled and a card inserted into the side of the box. The vehicle is then driven on level gravel free road at 20 mph and the brakes applied. Inside the box a lever is swung forward by the deceleration and a cam on the lever locks onto the card. When the card is removed the cam is rotated and a spike on the card punches a hole in the appropriate space on the card indicating whether the brakes are poor, fair, or excellent.
