Anyone who lives in the San Francisco bay area and is into old cars probably knows of Don Knopp. This warehouse in Fresno was part of his collection of old car parts. He sold it to a fella named Steve. Don still has a bizillion parts at his Niles warehouse.

My dad did. Most of the good stuff is long gone. He bought to complete A rear ends and a few small items. He said most of the A stuff was made in Argentina. That was back in late October. Probably less left now

Remember when you could "roam" the local junk yard?? Many fond memories.
Paul in CT

As a kid we would roam the junk yards on a Sunday afternoon. Problem was ,,,,,they weren't open and we would have to dodge the junkyard dogs.
And yes Paul, a lot of fond memories. ;)

I loved roaming the breakers yards,( Knackers yard ) when I lived in the UK as a teenager, especially looking at American cars discarded by US service people, dreaming of what it would take to restore them, sometimes stealing a memento from them.
As a trainee mechanic in the late 50s we fixed many pre war cars and used many used parts to keep them running, over time I kept up with the changes we have today, now retired and have come full circle enjoying the time with my Double A.
