My first vintage car.
1930 Business Coupe Model A RHD in New Zealand.
Stored since 1988 .In Original un-restored condition.
No rust under ,oil clean ,petrol and water drained when parked.
Came with spare B motor.

I know nothing about Model A's so I guess I will be hanging around here quite a bit from now on :D

Congrats! Before you do anything...join a Model A Club. You'll enjoy the comradery and get lots of free help (and donuts).LRF

Step 1 order Les Andrews book. There are lots of sources but this puts all the maintenance/repair info in one spot. Subscribe to Paul Shinn's videos on YouTube - there are others but his are very good.
Step 2 Join a local club https://www.mafca.com/chapters/IC.html
Step 3 Don't get frustrated.
You'll get a lot of answers on how to fix a problem you encounter. Remember that these offered without any real diagnosis by the helper. You will get how they fixed the exact or similar problem on their car. The underlying cause may not have been the same but the symptoms were so you'll need to sort out what works for you.
Step 4 enjoy.

Welcome. First get it running. Next make sure all the safety equipment is working, such as brakes and tires. Then drive it around for a while. Fix things a little at a time. Start by changing the fluids and greasing the car. Resist the temptation to start taking the whole car apart. That might be something for later on after you get your second Model A.

Congratulations, as other post said do little things at a time, I seen too many incompleted restorations . Drive and enjoy as is .Also post 12 , note step pads for rumble seat seat “on wrong side “

That is so cool!

Thanks for the welcomes and encouragements .I will proceed carefully and not strip her down to rebuild . I just want to get her mechanicaly sound and reliable , then drive the wheels off it lol .

First question....
Can I try and start it with a 12v battery or will I burn something out ??
