Here you get the opportunity to buy one of the famous French flatheads with just 9209×2000 =18418000 revolutions. Yes they have a revolution counter, calculated with an average engine speed of 1500rpm you end up with 204 running hours. I brought 2 of them over, one for my project and one as a spare engine.
Stroke: 4″
Bore:3.22″
Crankcase is about 30lbs heavier than the standard block, deck thickness is higher, the alloy is much more advanced, reinforced main bearing caps, adjustable lifters, aluminum timing gear.
All Ford Flathead parts interchange!
Comes without water pumps, starter and distributor because those parts are useless for hot rod applications and I left them in France. Those blocks have plenty of meat for overbore as well as relieved valves. The block alone is sold on eBay for 3100$.
The French 4″ Flatheads use shorter but stronger rods to be able to use the standard Ford Pistons.
