Does a Star T543 Star make any sense for a late 31? I thought it should have a couple of more no.s

I just bought a 31 and can't find any numbers on it, I've looked on the frame where they are supposed to be but there's nothing there!?

RonC don't think I can get a picture raised body a little and put light on opposite side of frame and moved it around a could vaguely see it.

My no. was not really dead on top really close to the edge at the top, have to hold light just right to make it out. Friend told me today his 32 has also a no. midway of door on the frame. I did not argue put think the a's don't have it where he thought.

Actually the '32 and later have 3 numbers, see "Serial Numbers" at this site: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_home.htm The A only has one.

The Model A's are not on that site. It was intended to answer your friend's comment about the '32's.

An A would not have a frame number like that from the factory. If your A had a frame number (certain years canadian's did not) it would be the same as the engine numbers.
