Frame straightening

I've repaired bare frames and cars that are being driven. You'll usually find the area ahead of the rear frame mount is where the sag is. What I've done is heat the lower flange of the frame and the side of the frame to a dull red and then cool the area. on a stripped frame I'll help the straightening with a jack under sagged area. The cooling really does all of the work. You repeat the heating and cooling until the frame is straight. Takes about 3 hours a side. Now on a complete car I place axle stands just behind the sagged area. Then I put a floor jack under the front axle to take the weight of the motor and ******. Now you heat the lower flange and the side area as much as you can geing carefull not to damage anything or cause wiring or ? to catch fire. Then I take some of the weight off of the jack and let the motor weight help to draw the frame down. Both ways work. I use an Oxy/Acy torch to heat the area and a wet cloth to cool the area. You'll be surprized would much it will shrink from the cooling.

I finally did raise the body up and put a string line from front to back on both sides. Each side was straight meaning it had no sag near the rear motor mount area. It turns out I am not going to have to make any frame adjustments now. Thank you all for your experience advice and knowledge concerning frame straightening!
