I'm building a car that I purchased with the body already off. The frame was painted but I sanded the paint off on the left side top of the frame where everyone says the # is. There is no serial number or even a hint of any markings on that top rail. I would consider the frame to be in excellant condition so that would rule out any question that it rusted away.
Any thoughts? I think I read on a previous thread that Canadain cars were stamped on the right side but I see no number there either.
