Can anyone tell me if the frames are the same for 1936 on sedans, coupes, and pickups? I have a complete 36 frame and a guy wants to swap me a stripped frame and some bucks for mine....Thanks, Al:confused:

for all pratical purposes they are the same with a few differences between the p/u and cars, the p/u will have a few different brackets and holes drilled for the bed, but you can use either

X2 and if you have any need for dimensions Bruce Lancaster was nice enough to provide the wescotts site as a good source, he is correct, good details.

From all I've read on the subject the hole locations are the biggest difference and they are subtle as mentioned before. Lining up the body and sheet metal after a frame off restoration is a b!tch with no frame change but even that can be overcome. Better a nice solid frame than no frame at all or a rusty bugger.

The '37 frames are all the same. The frame has dozens of unused holes, depending on if the body is a car or truck, some holes get used for cars, the other holes get used for trucks. I would assume earlier frames are similar. Ford seems to have had a Good Idea, and made common intechangability a manufacturing feature.

There is a early 36 and late 36.The last 2 feet in back are not the same.Chassic Engeering kits show whats not the same.I don't know whats your doing but if you are restoring it keep the complete frame,Street rodding some things are not needed.
