These four Zenith 1 carburators are mostly complete. I have opened each one to make sure that they are rebuildable (broken venturis removed, missing parts replaced, threads OK). There are a few parts that I did not have to make all the carbs complete. All will need a carb gasket set (A-9502-S $3 at Snyder's and 3 of the 4 need a new Venturi A-9586 $3.75). Here is a list of other missing parts that I did not have:
Carb #1 Bowl bolt A-9512 $2.35
Needle driver A-9579-CP $10.50
Carb #2 lock washer for choke arm
Compensator jet A-9575 $3.95
Butterfly screws for throttle and choke plates
Carb #3 Drain plug for main jet A-9590 $2.25
Needle driver A-9570-C $10.50
Carb #4 Drain plug for main jet A-9590 $2.25
THESE PARTS TOTAL = $55.05 (this will complete all four carbs)
All four carburators are $$$$ postpaid, much less that the $600 core
charge at Bert’s ($150 each)).
Rebuilt you should get $165 to $195 or more each). Rebuilt carbs at
Bert’s are $300 plus $150 each core charge.
I am 89 and I do not have the time to rebuild any more carburators or
shock absorbers.
I will have more carbs and carburator parts for sale including a B and
late ‘31 side bowls and a 60 year collection of other Model A parts.
