Found the Pump problem

I bough a rat rod for the engine. turns out the engine is 37-38 not a 36. This is good. I think that the reason it was for sale and came with extra water pumps is. The radiator was mounted so low that the water level was lower than the water pumps. They could not take suction setting above the water level. I added a radiator hose on to the spout. then added enough water to bring the level up above the water pumps. cranked it up and both pumps work as Mr. Ford intended. I set the car on a hill with the left pump down and the water would not circulate through the right pump. turned it around and the right pump would pump and the left pump would not. One fellow said to me what that Rod needs Is a 350. I just looked at him and laughed.
