Foreign steering wheel

Hey guys,
I am replacing the steering wheel on my 1930 PU and tried to order the US wheel. Apparently there is a problem with the molds, so the vendors I contacted didn't have one and didn't know when they would.
Anyone know if the foreign (Chinese) will fit ok and work ok in the PU? Black is ok, and this is a going to be a drive and not show car.
As always, thanks for the wisdom of experience!

the ones I have put on customers' cars were satisfactory to them or they would not have bought them. The cross section of the rim is a bit egg shaped. I don't think too may folks notice, but anyone who is particular will notice it. I prefer the American re- cast of an original myself as the cross section is circular and its an American product. The foreign repop fits the steering shaft ok.

What is wrong with a original wheel... They're still around in nice condition... Will fit better than foreign junk...

Actually, the foreign made (by Macs) is much easier to get ready to install than the US manufactured ones (which are a tad higher $). The foreign-made ones are not as crisp in several details as the US one are however the US ones need a lot of "post-work" done to make them ready to install. Buy the foreign made one if you are just going to use the car for fun & pleasure (...sans fine-point competitions).
