Fords and Drones

Don't let the corps of engineers inspect that earthen dam or they will make you drain it like they did this spring to Buckeye Lake in central ohio. What a mess we have now, many homes, businesses and parks left on what amounts to a mudhole.

Lake Somerville is a COE lake. As I recall it was completed in the early/mid 60's. It was built for flood control of several creeks flowing into the Brazos river. We have had several floods and the dam has held up well. It is also used to supply drinking water to Brenham and the surrounding areas. There are several parks and camping on the lake but no private property. My wife and I bought our property near there when we were avid water skiers. We don't do that anymore, 80 is a bit too old for that.

Just fly at 5000 ft with a high tech camera and no one but the kid with the ham radio radar set will know it is there.

Unless it collides with a manned aircraft. That day is coming. And when that happens, the golden age of drones will be over.
