I have a set of Ford Script Valves and all but one are serviceable. Are they worth anything other than to put in an engine and run?
Typically when I get a "core" engine the stock valves/guides are one of the first things to go in the trash because I, like you, believe the modern valves/guides are superior. This particular set of valves I couldn't bring myself to toss, the condition and Script compelled me to save them. So in my mind, they have value as stock valves but I figured to someone else they may be worth a little more. To be honest I hadn't considered the static display idea.Without being 'cute' or sarcastic, "worth anything other than to put in an engine and run" means what?
