Ford riding glasses

I recently bought a pair of riding glasses that have Ford engraved in script on the frame. They look old enough to be from the T era but I just don't know for sure. Does anyone have any information to share?

A very interesting Ford item. The frames are like the old time style, especially with the spring ends that go around ears. I had similar [ no Ford]that were popular when John Lennon wore them also.
With those side protectors, might they be factory safety glasses? Used with machinery in one of the Ford facilities maybe.Depends on lenses, if perscription or type of safety one.

Those are definitly "safety" glasses. Look at almost any factory photo of a grinding or finishing operation and you will see the guys wearing them.

Thanks for the input, guys. They do have a lot of scratches; maybe from rough use
in an industrial setting. About the Ford script engraved on the center bar, could these have come from the Ford factory or a dealership?

I agree- those are Safety Glasses. Most likely used in the plants, as I don't see why dealerships would use them.

My guess would be no newer than the early 1930s.

Even if they are factory equipment, they are a rare FORD collectible. They, probably, go back to the 20s or 30s. I'd say that there are not too many of them still around.
MIKE :)
