Ford Organizations

I'm considering joining MARC or MAFCA. I say "or" because there is only so much money to go around for things like membership dues, and already belonging to several different organizations, the dues start to add up. Is there a benefit to belonging to one over the other? If anyone cares to share their preferences and a brief idea as to why, I'd appreciate it.

Visit a local Chapter or Region meeting and possibly attend a tour with them, even in a modern car if your "A" isnot roadworthy. You can learn alot by socialising. Pay little attention to those whom are ready to tell you how you should work on your car. However listen closley to those whom offer hints basied on years of experience.
Good Luck to you!!

Good advise.

both magazines are good in their own ways. MARC focuses on restoring cars back to complete originality in most of their magazines. Mafca focuses more on sharing Model A stories of their members and not so original restoring. If that makes sense. Personally, I like Mafca's "The Restorer" better than the MARC's. But both are good.

I can personally recommend the Model A Ford Club - Wisconsin Chapter of MAFCA that is near you. Check out the following link and especially their online newsletter.

An active club with a great group of helpful members, and they hold monthly tech seminars at one of the local parts shops.
