Ford Model B engine

[Yellowfordcoupe]

Do Ford use a engine number on the Ford Model B, like they do on the A, too? I have a B engine without a number stamped onto it, but really want to know. Engine has the little higher field to stamp the numbers, but it is plain. Thanks for your help.

On the B engine, the number was stamped on the upper flywheel housing, on a raised boss like the boss on the side of the engine. The boss on the side of the engine was not used.

On my 32 B wagon, the engine is stamped on the small raised area (just above the water outlet) as well as the transmission.
