Ford mechanical brakes

I'm at the point now to start on the wiring of my 1936 ford panel delivery.

While looking at the brake light switch I noticed that the brake pedal hits the frame when fully back. Here is a pick

And here is the old switch, I bought a new one from Mac's.

My question is where can I find information on adjusting the mechanical brakes?
It is my plan to take all the wheels off and inspect brake pads and bearings.

With the brake pedal the way it is now I would have to press it all most all the way down before the brake lights would come on.

your pedal arms hit a rubber stop when the floorboards are in place and do not hit the frame. I will look to see if I have the brake adjustment sheet

Your missing the clutch pedal return spring, maybe the transmission is out of the car. If it was in place the clutch pedal would hit the floor pan if that was in place. Yes you have to have the wood or metal toe board installed with it's rubber bumpers to have the pedals stop in the proper place. Your going to remove the old brake light switch, it appears to be original Ford (it may work fine).

the best book i found was Ford 1932 to 1936 Engine and Chassis Repair Manual
its a green book that is not very thick. it tells you how to do it step by step. i think all the suplyers have it. also you will need to have the toe plate installed
