I'm a Ford man, I have 2 31Fords, but I also have a 1947 Chevy Coupe that I would like to change from a generator to a alternator. It is all ready changed to 12 volt system, has a 235 6 from a 55 chevy truck. What I'm not sure of is how it's done and what to do with old voltage regulator and where you hook up the DA plug. I know you use a 10SI alternator and I have book by Randy Rundle for a conversion guide but not to much detail on how to go about it or maybe it's all there and I just can't figure it out.
