Ford Falcons come first and second in Race 7 and first in Race 8 at Perth today. Hope that they can repeat the exercise tomorrow, which is a much longer race at 83 Laps. Todays 2 races were 25 Laps each.

Unfortunately, Sunday did not bring any joy to the Ford fans, as the best placed Ford finished 4th in Sundays 200 km Race, although a Ford was on Pole once again today. This is the car that got Pole and came in 4th in today's race.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Falcon name will disappear at the end of 2016 when Ford Australia closes its manufacturing plants. The new 2015 Ford Mondeo has just been released (although I have not seen one yet) and is a likely replacement for the Falcon. It is interesting to note that the new Ford Mondeo is exactly the same shape as the USA 2013 Ford Fusion, although this model was released in Europe last year. The Mondeo is a smaller car that the current Ford Falcon, so it remains to be seen what Ford Australia will offer here as the replacement, as for the last few years, the Ford Mondeo has been sold alongside the Ford Falcon.
