I believe that Ford started offering a deluxe version of the Ford F-1 in 1951 which they called the Five-Star package, which dressed up these Pick-ups. The Five-Star option was again offered for 1952. From what I can understand, it was renamed Deluxe for the 1953 to 1955 models. Then for 1956, this deluxe option of the F100 was renamed "Custom Cab". I have tried to confirm this information on Google, but need help. I look forward to your comments.

The Deluxe Cab was renamed Custom Cab in 1955 and continued into 1956.
This info is from "Ford Pickup Red Book" by Peter Sessler.

Toby, Thanks for your help. I have seen many 1956 Ford F100's with the Custom Cab option, but this is the only 1955 Ford F100 that I have seen with the Badge on the doors?

The "Custom Cab" pickup carried on thru the early 1960's. Some years, the logo was on the doors, but I seem to recall at some point the Custom Cab logo became an integral part of the body side trim.

Here are a pair of 1966 Ford F100 Pickups with the Custom Cab option that I have seen in my travels. Notice that they have the Custom Cab Script on the doors. This was the last year of the Fourth Generation of F trucks.
