Ford engine red paint

I want to touch up some of the paint of the 312 in my '56 Crown Vic in the areas where the paint is looking a little tired.

The engine runs fine so I'm not taking it out so spray/rattle cans are out.

Have been trying to source a can of brushable Ford red engine paint without any success. Any Fordbarners got any suggestions???

PS. I now live in Florida not the UK...

When I can't find a brushable substitute but have the right color in a spray can, I spray some paint into a suitable small container (sometimes the lid off the rattle can) and then use a brush to put the paint on. This works as long as the area is not too big or just for small touch up projects. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info Guys.
Did some online research and found that Summit Racing sells cans of 'classic Ford red'. So I've ordered one and will see how it works out....

Depending on what and where you're painting, aluminum foil works pretty well for masking off areas you don't want paint on. Just don't let the 'other half' catch you, or buy your own.
