fORD EMPLOYEE BADGES

Does anyone know someone who knows the value of various Ford employee badges. I have a Canada and a Rouge that I would like to know what they're WORTH. (ESTATE PLANNING) LOL

There’s a published book on the subject with pictures and I’m not sure maybe some valuations too? There are some collectors lurking on eBay that sell badges and tool tags regularly as well they will either be the author of aforementioned book or know of him or be able to help you.

I can tell you what they were worth when I bought mine... 30+ years ago, they were $10 - $15 each unless like mine, they had a special number, like the year of my Ford. I paid the huge price of $25 for my special Rouge plant employee badge #1938.

Rouge employee badges are all over the market. I have been trying to collect the whole group, so over the years, I have kept tabs on ones that I have missed out on purchasing. Some are worth $10, some worth a lot more.
It all depends on the alpha letter that can be on it. A (motor building) can be as high as $400. Y badges have sold for over $700. Where as a G (iron foundry) sold for $12. X badges are a dime a dozen (Dearborn Assembly)

Canada is anywhere from $170 up to $600. But, there are 4 different Canada badges.

The thing to remember is most of these are E-bay prices, and that can be inflated prices due to the bidding.

Hope this helps. Now if your Rouge badge has a K on it, I'd be interested in talking to you.

My Canada badge just has 1090. I also nave a generic Rouge and a generic Atlanta. What would a ballpark figure on them be, individual and separately. I'm getting rid of stuff I can't take with me. a good funeral cleaning as it were.

Lawson, you ought to be able to smuggle a few employee badges in your coat pocket, even if you get one of them new-fangled form-fitting boxes. :D

Well if you are planning on having an early Ford garage sale or something let us know. I'm sure many of us in the greater Atlanta area would be willing to make the trek to Covington for that:D

A standard Canada badge has sold for $150 to $170.

A standard Atlanta sold for $265.

Like I said, prices are all over the place. And, there still is a demand -- but you have to find the right person willing to pay the bucks for a little piece of steel 1.25 in by 1.75 in.
