Just pulled motor and removed main bearing. It is worn down to copper. Connecting rod bearing also worn.My question is the bearings that are in there say 0-.030 ?What does this mean as far as being rebuildable,? I only had 8 lbs of oil pressure at idle,12 lbs tops at 30 mph,Thanks in advance

I think the condition of the cam bearings would affect oil pressure more so than the mains and rods. If the crank is junk the good news is there are an abundant supply of workable cranks around.

If the shells are marked .030 then they are likely for an undersize grind on the crankshaft that was performed previously. Bearing shells generally always have STD for standard or the decimal oversize stamped on. Some have O or OS before the decimal and some don't. A micrometer comparison should set the story straight. If your crank is somewhere near .030 undersize then that will tell the story. If your crank still has acceptable size and finish after a quick polish then you may just need new shells.

I'm not familiar enough with the H six to be able to comment on the oil pressure issue other than worn bearings. If it has a pump with a built in pressure relief then a person could overhaul or replace the pump to insure a good oil pressure out put and relief valve setting. If it has an external pressure relief, it may need a new spring. The oil pressure indicating system should also be checked with an accurate direct reading gauge T'd in to the source.

Oil pressure relief valve is screwed into the block right beside the filter canister.
So real easy to shim it and see what happens.
