Time to make some space for the coming spring ;
I found this in my dark section of the garage :
old car jack.

Markings :

Can anyone tell me something more about this jack ?
Used for ? (ford or other cars ?)
Year ?

Thanks

I have relatives that live near there, and I'd drive by the Auto Specialties plant on my way to visit my cousin. In the summer of 1971 I saw the workers on a picket line outside the plant. They wound up closing the plant and now it sets in ruins. Sure hate to see a good business closed like that. Now the workers who demanded more have nothing.

If you weld a 3/8" socket on an old jack, they make a DANDY PORTO-POWER! If you weld a pipe coupler on top, you can use assorted length pipes, to push with.

That happens a lot. Nobody wins.

I believe I read somewhere, that this company made the original Ford jacks for Model T and Model A and also the tire pumps.
