After googling I finally found a picture and some more info. Guess where I found it. On a site called FordBarn, LOL. I bought mine from 3rd Gen. All of the suppliers offerings look like mine and the flat side points at the accelerator pedal.

The flat side probably gives "foot clearance" for the gas pedal.
