Many of the F1 pickups had a 10-inch Long type clutch that is same back to 1942 but they had an 8BA flywheel set up for them at the factory. These aren't easy to find now days. The 1949 through early 51 Mercury used the 10-inch 1 3/8" spline Borg & Beck clutch but you also need the flywheel with the six evenly spaced bolt holes. Most machine shops can drill your flywheel for whatever clutch you want. They just need the base circle of the bolt holes and spacing so they can set up their index table on a mill. A person could do that and have the wheel refaced at the same time. All of the different clutch covers have a different base circle diameter for the bolt holes. For a light body car, the old 9-inch Long type works very well.
