My 29 A carb keeps flooding I have a good rebuilt one Some people tell me it could be that i dont have my gav adjusted right Could that be the case And how can i tell if it is adjusted right while i am driving around

Close the GVA all the way, then open it a turn to turn and a half for starting. After the car is started and the spark lever is pulled down to running position close the GVA till the motor starts to sputter then open till runs smooth. That your running position. If the carb is still flooding then the fuel level in the bowl is too high and you need to add more gaskets under the float valve. The fuel level in the bowl is set by adding shims under the float valve not by bending anything on the float. You don't need to close the GVA every time, just open it enough to start the car easily then close to the run position.
You should ask you question in the Model A section not here.
