I am building a1951 ford 8ba and got 2 sets of heads with it ford 8ba heads and a set of heads that have 35m eab6050 on them. Witch heads should I use? Are the 35m heads merc or truck heads ? I am also looking for a good cam I want a good street cam . Someone said to get an L100 but I do not know of a place to get mine reground .Any help with this re build would be helpfull . thank marko

I think everyone here will agree that the "EAB" ('52-'53 Ford) heads are the best stock heads for use on an 8BA. They may need some work (milling) to get the proper quench, but that depends on your individual situation. Do a search on "L-100 cam" here and I'm sure you will get lots of information.

What bore, stroke , what intended purpose ?,daily driver etc.? you don't want to over cam or over carburate in relation to the cubic inch displacement, the stock ign. could use a little help also, I deep sixed th factoy 8 B.A Dist on mine back in the early eighties, the G.M conversion is a good option no need for an extremely high voltage coil, just a good quality average coil works pretty good and reliability factor stays in place.
Good luck
