Just bought this at auction absentee bid, so I don't know what the brass tag says yet, can anyone tell the year of these motors?

Or maybe Cord? It looks like some type of blower in center. Could be a Caddy. I think Caddys did have the dizzy upfront & top like a SB Ford.

If they're Cadillacs (which they appear to be) they are no newer than 1922. Hendry's History of Cadillac pictures a 1922 engine with that little "scallop" in the lower edge of the head. A subsequent picture of a 1923 shows no scallop.

The hump in the center is actually the top of the manifold...there's an updraft carb below it, and the hump part feeds separate manifolds feeding the two banks of cylinders.

Could they be early Lincoln V-8s ? Say around 1928. I know they have that big blower looking outfit on them and the distributor up front.

I have looked all over the net and can't find a flathead 8 with that notch on the bottom of the head, maybe know more tomorrow when I pick it up... thanks and stay tuned.

Sure are heavy duty engine stands!
