Flathead Oil Filter Canister

I saw an oil filter canister from a flathead the other day and I'm wondering how oil drains out of it. Are there holes in the bottom of the tube below the spacer (that holds the filter off the bottom of the canister) or...?

Two small holes near the top were the oil drains thru the center of the tube.

Some had a pipe plug for drainage good luck
