flathead motor stand

I just built my own to go on my Harbor Freight stand. I used a short piece of schedule 80 2" pipe cut at a 45 welded to a piece of 3/8" X 3 1/2" steel plate drilled to bolt to the two end ports. I drilled the 2" pipe just like the factory stand so I could index the engine in several different positions. It works very well and is very easy to build.

Built mine, too...slim

I had 2 cheap junkers from an auction. I cut the post off the worst one and added it to the other to make one that supports it on both sides. Much more comfortable with that. used angle iron welded to the bolt plate, it's not 45degree, so have to trim one side to get it right. Has to be closeto perfect so as not to bind when flipping motor.
