Flathead motor info

Guys Im living in a remote part of China at the moment and spend most of my nights at home and want to use the time somewhat productively. Having never had any ford flatheads I feel I could use my time to do some learning.

Is there any good online sources of information describing the history of them, hopping them up over the years, desireable variants and speed parts. I realise thats a LOT but Id like to make a start on some learning. Ive been reading as much as I can here but still so much more to learn. Thanks.

Thanks Brendan. There is a slim chance I may end up with a 34 5 window thats very complete in the near future so want to start learning as much as I can now in case it comes off. Have had rods in the past, still got a 30 coupe body that was chopped in Cali in '58, but this looks too good to start cutting up and I'd prefer to keep it pretty stock, but thats well and truely getting ahead of myself :)

No mate no old cars that I have seen so far except in a museum in Beijing. Looking at getting a car of out of America or similar and having it shipped to either Japan or Australia where I spend some of my spare time when not in China working.
