Could someone help identify this engine? Note the "99" on the cylinder block, the crab style distributer cap and the fan directly attached to the crankshaft. The engine is in an original Canadian 1941 Ford ex RCAF 6 X 6 Marmon Herrington crash tender. Thank you, Joe.

Many if not all Canadian manufactured Ford truck engines with 239 CID displacement had actual raised "99" casting numbers where the USA production were only stamped on most of them from 39 thru 40.

It's most likely a thick wall 99T truck motor with 239 CID. A very desirable engine in the flathead world.
