hi guys.I have a question regarding aluminum heads(offy) on a 8BA 50 flathead.I have had the heads on for about 3 years and no problems whatsoever.Now is it ok to periodically re tighten the main bolts on the heads and if so at what periods or will that cause problems.Any suggestions on this?

If you have no seeps or leaks then why tempt fate. Leave well enough alone.

Don't mess with them. Just your luck they will start to leak OR worse yet you'll stretch one or break one off. I put my flathead alum heads on 10 years ago and never touched them again. 55 foot pounds + hardened washers.

Thanks guys,for the advice.i have had no seepage or leaks ever and no leaks from around the sides of the heads.So the consenus is to leave it alone.The possibility is that i could break one off or loosen something to cause leakage? i will leave it alone then.Thanks again
