Does your intake manifold have and make any use of these two holes if present? Finally downloaded these piks where oil is flowing from
This is an 8BA engine which has a different breathing system. There is not any triangular protrusion/vent in that location on an 8BA configuration. The plumbing looks right to me, in at the bottom and out the side. the return to the oil filler stand is not ideal as blowby can pick up the returning oil and blow it out the breather.
So where EXACTLY do you think the oil is coming from?
Does your oil pan have the small triangular protrusion just behind the crank pulley?
Looking again I see the fitting is below the fuel pump stand. That might be ok.
Does your fuel pump/oil fill stand have all the baffles in place below, including the inner tubular part?
If you take off the oil feed line, and the fittings, (prepare for spillage) and examine the fittings, one of them (preferably the one at the engine end) should have a restrictor. It should be in the region of 60 thou, 1/16", 1.5mm or thereabouts.
If you don't have a restrictor, find something suitable, knock it in there and drill it 1/16".
As you describe yourself as no mechanic, it is difficult to offer advice as owning and repairing a car of this type does require some level of mechanical understanding.
Mart.
i will take more piks of intake today maybe you can tell me if it is a 59ab intake i have thanks for nowGet the correct lid seal for the oilfilter housing...$1.99 from speedway motors.
Reroute the oilreturn down to the side of the block where it should be.
Putting 59AB intake on an 8BA block gives you breathing issues...then sticking oilreturn into breather...pumping air in and out the breather tube while pooring oil into the airstream...
The above should calm things down a bit hopefully.
5 quarts but my dipstick fas an adjustment on it,if i insert something else in there just to check how much oil it should take whereabouts on the oil pan should oil be at half way maybe.Just curious . How much oil did you install and whats your oil pressure?
hey guys just wondering if i pull the oil filter out of the cannister and leave it out would that help release pressure just asking

Hi is the spring on this beehive suppose to be under or ontop of filter do you know thanksYou have what is commonly known as a bypass 'beehive' replacement oil filter.
Speedway motors sells them and replacement gaskets.
The following links will give some information on the operation of the filter.
