Flathead H motor

I bought a flathead motor that has a H D 12 on the motor. Can anybody tell me any information on the motor. Thanks again for all the help.

Judging from the studs, it's pre 48. Post this on the Eary V8 site and you will probably get the answer

What the heck? You've been kicking this around for days on the flathead forum, and now you're asking '50's people??
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS POST A PICTURE THAT SHOWS MORE THAN 3" OF THE DAMN BLOCK! FROM THE FRONT WOULD BE BEST!
We already know its '37-8 or prior. Just post a useful picture to nail it.
